![]() When joining a match, particularly on higher difficulties, it's worthwhile to note which perks your team is running and pick something that works well with that. Neutral perks consist of - Support, SWAT, and Medic Precision perks consist of - Sharpshooter, Commando and GunslingerĬhaotic perks consist of - Firebug, Beserker, and Demolitionist ![]() Therefore we can group perks into 3 separate groups: Precision(headshot focused), Chaotic(bodyshot focused), and neutral. Most of these CC effects make zeds move unpredictably and make it difficult to hit headshots. Some perks instead prefer to heavily CC the zeds and deal heavy body damage to kill them. With headshots being so heavily encouraged, it is usually in the interest of the player to keep the movement of the zeds as predictable as possible in order to score consistent headshots. This leads heavily into my next point regarding perk(class) synergy. For most zeds, their head health pool is roughly 1/3rd of their body health pool, making it much easier to deplete. Any and all damage that's dealt to the head pool will also be applied to the body pool, meaning that you are always contributing if you hit the head. All zeds that are decapped will slowly bleed out. When the head health pool is reduced to 0 the zed is decapped, preventing them for performing any unique attacks and reducing them to slowly shambling around if it doesn't outright kill them. When the body health pool is depleted to 0, the zed simply dies. Each zed has 2 separate health pools, one for the head, and one for the body. Without a doubt the most important and unique mechanic in the killing floor series is the approach to weak point/headshot incentivizing. Without any further babbling I'll get to the meat. ![]() KF2 is a fairly nuanced game and there tends to be lots of misinformation/misinterpretation that I hope to clear up here. Which its easier then you think if you dedicate yourself each game to working on them. With KF2 recently going free on the epic games store and a lack of updated and digestible information readily available, I took the time to make what is hopefully a somewhat concise guide to basic killing floor mechanics and a list of the best loadout choices for players diving a bit deeper into the game. Personally hitting 200hours almost and all perks lvl4 other then commando which is lvl5 Which its much easier to just take your time, since max perks only helps so much.Īs what you really need is training and working on your skills. Which also may lead to people not wanting to play with you as much since you wont have the training to actually keep up with other maxed perk players. Which isnt a fastpass mod like the leveling maps are.įake players, it simulates as if you were on a team on solo.Įxcept you can only set it upto 5 or perks stop leveling.Īnd when i say challange, going to hard with 5 imaginary team mates is bit tough since u run outta ammo before your done.Īlso be warned if you fastpass your way to higher perks your gonna miss out on alotta good training. There is a specific mod out there which works pretty well. Legend of zelda map has all sorts of goodies in bushs n pots like weapons. Hmm wanna good map to train on, gas station has a nice corridor that leads to the roof tops. Sorry for the length of this but maybe it helped :D and as usual a good team makes all the difference. And doom_V7 at the doorway to the room with the lift, if you stand in the door way all that will spawn is stalkers and crawlers. As for getting stalkers for commando, west london under the bridges is a good spot for them. BUT DO TRY HARD TO GET MORE DAMAGE the zeds in the higher difficulty have a lot more life and therefore can take more damage. Another thing is to make sure youre playing to correct difficulty for your perk lvl, DONT TRY HARD OR HIGHER UNLESS YOUR LVL 4 (or so) you cant do the damage needed and end up hurting the team. I feel this does 2 things, first it gets you really good at that perk quickly and second makes you feel like youre making progress. The best thing i found to do was grind on 1 perk until its leveled all the way. mountian pass for sharpshooter, doom maps for damage for just about everything, ect. There are certain maps that are better for leveling certain perks then others.
